Rio 2016: Good luck to all Erreà athletes and teams!

From August 5th to 21st 2016 Rio de Janeiro, the first ever South American city to be awarded the event, is hosting the 31st edition of the Summer Olympics.

There is a total of 28 sports, including, for the first time, Rugby Sevens and Golf and 48 disciplines, with Athletics offering the largest number of Olympic titles, 47 in total.

During the event Erreà is not only represented by several national teams but also individual athletes involved in different disciplines.

National Teams:

  • The Puerto Rican Women's Volleyball Team
  • The French Pentathlon team
  • The Spanish Men's Archery Team
  • The Tunisian Men's Rowing Team
  • The French Cycling team

Individual Athletes:

  • Joana Ramos - Portugal - Judo
  • Antonio Fernandez - Spain - Archery
  • Juan I. Rodriguez - Spain - Archery
  • Marcus Vinicius D’Almeida - Brazil - Archery

The Games are using a number of venues, some of which were already in place and others that have been built from scratch. The majority of events is taking place in Barra da Tijuca, the site of the Olympic Village, while the other competition venues are situated in three different locations: Copacabana, Maracanã and Deodoro, in addition to external zones reserved for football.
